How to make Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 90 gr. butter – at room temperature
- 1 cup +1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- quarter cup molasses
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
Sift flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and salt and set aside. In a bowl, beat butter and sugar at room temperature, add the egg and continue to beat, finally add the molasses and water and whisk until all the ingredients are completely mixed. Add the dry ingredients and turn it into a dough.
Roll out the dough half an inch thick between two greaseproof papers. Shape with the mold and put the cookies on the baking tray.
